Divorces and separations will persist in society. In the past cycle, many individuals sought to end their marriage or romantic relationship due to a sudden realization of idealistic expectations that were not being met. However, today's decisions or pressures to part ways are more commonly rooted in a desire for independence and self-empowerment. Additionally, more often than not, individuals with Challenge 2 will separate or divorce once the energy has dissipated.
Wives who are the primary earners in a marriage are more likely to divorce.
In this new nine-year cycle, people are increasingly prioritizing their personal growth, financial stability, and emotional well-being, leading them to pursue a life where they can stand on their own two feet without relying on a partner.
Divorce rates vary significantly by age group. People ages 35 to 44 have the highest divorce rate (10.9 per 1,000), while those 18 to 24 have the lowest. However, gray divorce is on the rise, with divorces among those over 55 increasing.
This shift reflects a broader cultural change towards valuing individual strength and unrestricted freedom in the context of relationships. Idealistic views of marriage and romantic relationships have shifted to emphasizing protecting one's self-rule and the ability to stand on one's own two feet.
