Shane Tamura captured the global media spotlight on Monday, July 28, 2025, Universal Day 8. It is alleged that he had a documented history of mental illness.
*Please note that this post is not intended to glorify the killer, but rather to use numerology to explore patterns and natural cycles that may be associated with mental illness; thus, this post is for educational purposes only.
The year 2026 is ahead of us; instead of focusing on emotional health and related diseases as we have since 2016, the care of mental health is critical from 2026 to 2034. Because changes will occur fast in our lives, people are apt to suffer from migraines, anxiety, depression, mental illness, schizophrenia, and addictive behaviors.
We couldn't pinpoint a birthday; however, we know that Shane Devon Tamura, a 27-year-old, was born in 1998. He has been identified as the suspect in a mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan on July 28, 2025, where he killed four people, including an NYPD officer, before taking his own life.
In a similar manner to astrology, which can identify specific characteristics solely based on the birthday and birthplace without the time. Numerology can identify particular characteristics based solely on a person's birth name and year of birth.
We know that mental health is a powerful integral part of who we are, and that plays a crucial role in our life decisions—for better or for worse.
We decided to take a quick numeric look at Tamura. Before proceeding, we would like to clarify that we are not licensed psychologists. The patterns indicated below are based on twenty years of studying numerology.
Mental illness needs to be explored in depth from a different standpoint; fatal events one after the other are signs that we can no longer sweep this disease under the rug.
The numbers suggest that Tamura was a troubled soul. Tamura's psychiatric problems probably started very early in life; the first nine years of his life indicate instability. There may have been an emotionally devastating event that occurred in his life around age 13 that caused him to become very emotionally disturbed in his teenage years.
Based solely on Tamura's birth year, there's a potential for stress related to his increased financial responsibilities, family obligations, and work commitments. Given that the letters H, D, and M are transiting together for three consecutive years, this may have exacerbated his preexisting psychological disorder.
Letters H, D, and M add up to the karmic debt 16. It's not out of the ordinary for individuals under the heavy energy of transit 16 to have a mental disorder that causes overwhelming distress that affects their thinking, emotions, and behavior. The disorder may persist temporarily in tandem with the transit or be long-term.
The lengthy transits are not as one might expect. Number Transits, lasting four years or more, are not in character with Number Transits that are 1-3 years.
Number transits typically affect the inner thoughts and ego initially, and it takes about two years before the distinguishing characteristics of the transiting number manifest the energy outwardly; hence, a 3-year Number transit is the point at which people close to the individual would notice a behavioral change. In the case of karmic debt 16, a few of the signs are anxiety, moodiness and the person becoming more reclusive and sometimes suicidal.
